NASCAR Racing is a fascinating pop culture phenomenon that gained a lot of popularity in the 1960s through today.  There are a lot of Hollywood stars that have been drawn into the NASCAR frenzy as well. I’m sure the fun, the fury, and the speed of the NASCAR experience can draw on anyone.  Some of NASCAR’s drivers have even appeared in some of Hollywood’s ventures. 

The NASCAR drivers I’m talking about are Jeff Gordon, Jamie McMurray, and Dale Earnhardt., Jr.  If you see a movie series like the Fast and the Furious, you can see that fast cars and daring drivers have become increasingly popular.

Stock cars used in this form of  racing are built on standard factory editions and are usually limited to certain speeds for safety. As mentioned, they are raced on oval-shaped tracks in races that usually last anywhere from 200 to 600 miles in duration. Stock-car racing is the most popular form of auto racing in America.

The second type of racing, one that is more popular in Europe, Australia, and New Zealand, is called single-seater racing. Formula One racing in the United States is perhaps the most well-known variant of this type, one that features production model racers built low to the ground with the sole purpose of performance.

NASCAR Racing also features both a Canadian Tire Series and a Mexico Series.  There are also a ton of local and regional track races that are considered the heart of NASCAR.  There’s an eastern and western region race set, referred to as Camping World Sites. 

Regardless of their differences, there is one thing that is certain: Auto racing is enormously popular and is here to stay. Both types offer excitement and a rush of adrenaline to their fans and drivers alike and will remain popular for decades to come.
